France is a republic in western Europe. The country is located on the North Sea. France has been paying with the euro since 2002.
The French euro coins have three differen designs. The coins also feature the letters RF, an abbreviation for République Française.
In 2022 France introduced a second series of €1 and €2 coins. The new design features oak and olive branches that form the tree of life and symbolise strength, solidity and peace. The tree and the motto stand within a hexagon.
In 2024 France introduced a second series of €0,10, €0,20 and €0,50 coins.
