Devlog: Release 4

Published on 02-03-2026 by CoinectionDevlog

In the past months, we've been hard at work with improving Coinection, making it a better experience for euro coin collectors. Many of the features described in the update below, have already been introduced on the platform. So this update can be seen as a summary of all the things we've done for Release 4.

New look and feel for managing your collection entries

If you have been using Coinection for a while, you might have noticed a new interface for managing your collection entries. This new look and feel will give you a better overview of what's in your collection at a glance, and allows you to focus on managing a specific entry. It will also have a clearer indication when you are about to delete an entry from your collection. You can also write down some notes that relate to the entry, for example how much you paid for it if you bought it from another collector. Mark a collection entry as uncirculated

As part of the collection management redesign, we've added the option for collectors to mark coins in their collection as uncirculated (UNC). This way you can differentiate between regular coins from circulation, and coins that aren't. For example a coin that came from a UNC roll. Mark a new collection entry as uncirculatedMark a new collection entry as uncirculated Brilliant uncirculated and Proof entries will be automatically marked as uncirculated, however you can uncheck this. For example when you found a coin in circulation that was not intended for circulation (NIFC).

For our Coinection Pro users, we've updated moving coins from your wishlist to your collection. This is now aligned with how you add coins to your collection, allowing you to add specific details while moving the coin to your collection.

Coin designers

We've also been researching euro coin designers. The result of this research has been added to Open Coin Data, and has since been included in Coinection as well. Whenever you open a coin, you will see the name(s) of whoever designed it (if it is known, otherwise no designer will be shown). You can click on the name of the designer and view all the other coins that were created by them.

A solid foundation

Behind the scenes we've been working on a solid foundation of the Coinection platform, to ensure we will encounter less bugs and can confidently release new features. Should you encounter bugs, or if you have suggestions on how we can improve Coinection, please let us know!
